Dan promotes Kill Your Darlings on The Graham Norton Show

Kill Your Darlings, in which Dan plays American poet Allen Ginsberg, has finally opened here in the UK and Dan has wrapped up promotion on this side of only here the pond with an appearance on last night’s episode of The Graham Norton Show.

Debuting his new, longer hairstyle (for his role as Igor in Frankenstein) on national TV, Dan was on the receiving end of rather a lot of mocking from host Graham Norton, and fellow guest Mary Berry seemed rather enamoured of his extensions. You can watch the interview on BBC iPlayer.

The shortlist for the 2014 What’s On Stage Awards have been announced, and Dan has been nominated for Best Actor in a Play for his performance as Billy Claven in The Cripple of Inishmaan. Voting is open until 31st of January, and you can cast your vote here.

First Images of Dan Filming Frankenstein (Updated)

Dan spoke to The Guardian’s Simon Hattenstone during promotion for Kill Your Darlings, giving his thoughts on growing up in the public eye, and why the Harry Potter films feel like watching his acting lessons.

Rupert was the most outgoing of the three of us; he had this confidence when it came to comedy, and he still does. If you’re ever being asked to do anything, you just ask yourself a question: ‘Would Michael Fassbender do it?’ This referred to a moment when I was being asked to do something a bit more corporate than I’d ever done before, and it came down to the Fassbender test, and we thought he wouldn’t do it. It’s a pretty good test for a lot of young actors.”

Kill Your Darlings Cut Up Exhibition

On Thursday evening, Dan posed for a photocall and no prescription levitra spoke to journalists to promote the Kill Your Darlings Cut Up Exhibition, an art installation taking place across London this weekend. Featuring art created using the cut up technique that was a favourite of Ginsberg’s fellow beat poet William Burroughs, images are being projected onto buildings in London.
