Marie Claire magazine has released the first official still of Dan in character as Doctor Vladimir Bomgard, from the Sky Arts production of A Young Doctor’s Notebook.
Audio has now emerged of the press conference Dan and the writers of A Young Doctor’s Notebook took part in following a screening on Saturday. You can listen to the audio here.
A Young Doctor’s Notebook will air on the UK channel Sky Arts over four weeks, with the first episode set to debut at 9pm on Thursday, 6th December. The DVD is available for pre-order at Amazon and Play.com, with a release date of 31st December 2012.
Dan spent this evening at a press screening of his upcoming Sky Arts four part mini-series, A Young Doctor’s Notebook, which is set to air from 6th December in the UK. Co-star Jon Hamm, who plays the older version of Dan’s character, wasn’t able to be there, but sent Dan an email to read out to the assembled press, in which he referred to Dan as his ‘comrade in arms’. Dan seemed equally taken with Jon, calling him ‘one of the best’.
You can read The Hollywood Reporter’s coverage of the event here.
As filming on the F Word enters its final week, Dan took the time to take part in several interviews on the set of the film. The most in-depth of these interviews was with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, who spoke to Dan about upcoming projects Kill Your Darlings, Horns and The Cripple of Inishmaan. Dan also confirmed that as of yet, he has no involvement with del Toro’s Pinocchio, though he found the rumour quite flattering. You can watch the videos here (and for those of you not in the US, Firefox and modify headers are your friends).
Short, but no less sweet, are the interviews with Access Hollywood and ET Canada, which both give behind-the-scenes glimpses of filming, and confirm that Dan isn’t using an accent (well, other than his own) for The F Word.
Filming of The F Word is shortly due to relocate to Dublin, where it will wrap shooting, before Dan flies off to Vancouver to film his role as Ig Perrish in Horns.
