"Kill Your Darlings" Portraits - 2013 Sundance Film FestivalThe legendary Sundance Film Festival has opened, bringing us Act One of a what is going to be a very busy, Radcliffy year, the long awaited premiere of  the beat poet true crime (that’s a genre, right?) story, Kill Your Darlings

Dan is in attendance at the festival, and has taken part in a fabulous photoshoot with his castmates, as we await the first screening – at 3:30pm local time, 9:30pm GMT.

There is another new photo – this time a still from the film – at Indewire.

We’ll keep you up to date on all the news from the festival – stay tuned!

Many thanks to SS for the photos.

Quotes from Juno Temple and Dustin Hoffman

Dan gets a thumbs-up from his “Horns” co-star Juno Temple in an interview with the Press Assocation, quoted in FemaleFirst.co.uk:

Speaking to the Press Association the actress said: “Daniel is such a brilliant human being.

“I am so happy that I have had the opportunity to work with him. He is such a down-to-earth, raw and giving person. I adore him.”

And The Daily Mirror interviewed Dustin Hoffman yesterday and mentioned that Dan had called him a role model.

And with all this talk of progressing young stars, Dustin is flattered to hear that Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe looks to him as his greatest idol.

“That’s really lovely,” he laughs. “I thank you, Daniel. Does he have a girlfriend? Is he married?

“I have a 25-year-old daughter, Alexandra, so this could be a nice introduction.”

According to Daniel, 23, it is Dustin’s rather short stature and unconventional approach to life and work that makes them kindred spirits.

“Well I guess I haven’t been conventional my whole life,” says Dustin.

“When I see all these kids wearing their Levi’s down at the ground and the baseball caps sideways all I think is that if I was their age I would do the opposite.

“I would pull my pants up and put my hat on straight.

“I never wanted to be part of the crowd, I’ve never understood why anyone would. And if Daniel agrees with me, good for him.”

And the trick to being a successful, short, leading man?

“That’s easy,” he says. “Make sure everyone cast around him is even shorter.
