Dan was a guest on the 7th December episode of BBC1′s The Graham Norton Show (series 12, ep 7), alongside Team GB’s gold medalist Jessica Ennis, Ricky Gervais and musical guest Bruno Mars. With his Sky Arts series A Young Doctor’s Notebook setting a new ratings record for the channel, Dan spoke about his role as the young Doctor, and was shown a fanfiction website dedicated to stories about him.
In an effort to ensure that fans are able to get the latest information on Dan and his career, in the knowledge that it is 100% accurate, Dan now has a Google + Account, with the intent of it being his first and only social media account. If you follow anyone claiming to be Dan on Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media account, they are imposters and you should unfollow them as soon as possible.
Dan spoke to MTV about his reasons for creating his Google + Account:
“This has mainly come about because of the amount of people that I meet who tell me that they have contacted me on Twitter or Facebook when I know that’s impossible — because I don’t belong to either one of those sites. Now that I have this page, there will be an outlet for accurate information and hopefully people will not waste their time giving credence to people pretending to be me.”
Interviews with Dan have been published in three different television guide magazines today. Thanks to Sarah, you can read the scans below. Click on the thumbnails to read the larger versions.
TV & Satellite Weekly:
Total TV Guide:
Dan spoke to the Telegraph’s Sunday magazine, Seven, about his post-Potter career, and how he was quite proud of the fact that The Woman in Black is 2012′s most complained about film. You can read the interview here
Dan also spoke to ETC magazine about A Young Doctor’s Notebook, and mentions that he’s passed his driving theory test. You can read that interview here.
The Radio Times reports that Dan is going to be the guest host of BBC1′s panel show Have I Got News for You on 21st December. It seems like Dan is going to be something of a fixture on British TV screens this December, with A Young Doctor’s Notebook airing on Sky Arts the 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th of December, and an appearance on BBC1′s Graham Norton show scheduled for the 7th.
Those of you in the UK may want to browse through the TV listing magazines tomorrow, as Dan is likely to be featured in several of them, including The Radio Times, and Saturday’s Independent will feature an interview with Dan.
