Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud
The lovely Carole has found this little Woman in Black snippet for us – it sounds like Dan is really enjoying filming this project.
Daniel Radcliffe is enjoying his nights – spent filming The Woman In Black.
The Harry Potter actor stars in the remake of the gothic thriller, directed by Eden Lake’s James Watkins.
“We’ve been doing lots of night shoots – they are cold and long, but good,” he said.
Another challenging scene saw Daniel, who soon reprises his wizard role in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part One, encased in mud inside a cramped tank.
“I was also in a five foot by six foot tank, in five foot deep of freezing cold mud for two days a couple of weeks ago and it was hard work, but it was excellent, and the sequence looks amazing. I saw some cuts of the footage the other day and it’s fantastic,” he continued.
“So far, touch wood, it’s looking great. We’ll wait and see but at this point, I’m quietly confident. It’s a brilliant script by Jane Goldman.”
The 21-year-old, who is set for an upcoming stint on Broadway in the musical How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, is impressed with the film’s director.
“James is a brilliant young director who I think is comparable to the Chris Nolans in the British film industry. James will make some very important films in his career in the scale of Inception and The Dark Knight because he has the imagination and ambition. To see that in a young British filmmaker is quite inspirational,” he said.
