UPDATE: Daniel Radcliffe to Star in The Woman in Black

Many thanks to our friends at SnitchSeeker for tracking down confirmation of yesterday’s intriguing rumour that Dan is going to mises.org.pt star in a new film adaptation of Susan Hill’s The Woman in Black.

A modern classic, and one of the longest running straight plays in the West End, The Woman in Black is the story of “a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps, who is ordered to travel to a remote village and buy low price cialis sort out a recently deceased client’s papers. As he works alone in the client’s isolated house, Kipps begins to uncover tragic secrets, and his unease grows when he glimpses a mysterious woman dressed only in black.”

The film is being made by legendary British horror film company Hammer Films, whose website announced production of the film in May this year. Filming is www.animationnation.com to begin ‘in the autumn’, the book is being adapted by Jane Goldman (Stardust, Kick-Ass).

ETA: as the confirming Tweet has now been deleted,  I think we had better downgrade back to Code Orange – a hopeful rumour…

ETA2 : I can’t help posting this small update, which neither confirms nor denies the rumours, but does have Susan Hill owning the purchase viagra in mexico Internet…

A blog post in the Orlando Sentinel

The legendary British horror label Hammer Films has Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe lined up for an upcoming feature — The Woman in Black.

He’d play a lawyer – sorry, “solicitor” – involved in settling an estate, meeting the widow, discovering strange supernatural things about the house where the deceased lived.

Is he old enough to be a lawyer, sorry, solicitor, in the UK? He’ll be 21 this Friday. Perhaps a clerk or paralegal?

…which is not why I’m posting. The first comment is from Susan Hill…

He is… I wrote the original book and the lawyer is a very junior one in an old fashioned office – he is around 25 or 26 which Daniel can easily play.

How awesome is she??

Also, yes, he doesn’t  ‘meet the widow’, it’s the widow who has finally died.
