Daniel Radcliffe News Roundup
I know, I know – there are so many bits and bobs that need rounding up – mea culpa, mea maxima busy-with-my-children – so here is a handy round up of news, to make it look like this is what I intended to do, all along.
- Many thanks to the GRA for the link to the post-NMA interviews with Dan and his fellow award winners, which can be watched at the ITN website, here.
- Our friends at SnitchSeeker have uploaded new pictures of a splinched!Ron plus locket scene that was filmed in a field in Hertfordshire, last Friday – I can only assume they were waiting until they had Hermione back in the country – you can see the pictures here.
- Other quotes that came out in the media, following the NMA, include…
- At Contact Music : The 20-year-old actor – who is best known as Harry Potter in the movie series – confesses he was jealous of Tobey Maguire playing the web-slinging hero in the three instalments of the ‘Spider-Man’ franchise.
He said: “I was always unbelievably jealous of him playing Spider-Man. I do think Spidey is the coolest of superheroes.”
On Harry, himself: “He’s capable of being quite arrogant, pigheaded and a little bit selfish. He can make himself something of a martyr when he really doesn’t have to.
“All those characteristics are wonderful because it separates Harry from archetypal superheroes that you often get.”
And on finishing HP filming : “I hope that I will have some kind of employment after this. Otherwise, I don’t know… panto I suppose!”
It’s possible that the Daily Mirror really was a fly on the wall in a lift :
Kylie Minogue is a wizard hit with Daniel Radcliffe.
The Harry Potter star was in heaven when he shared a lift with her after the National Movie Awards on Wednesday.
Daniel told her: “I can’t believe I’ve met you, I think you’re great. Can I take a picture of us to send to my mum?” Bless.
But as he took a pic on his BlackBerry, at arms length, he cut himself off. Fortunately, Kylie took charge saying, “Come on, let’s do this properly.”
It wasn’t the only thing to make Dan’s night.
He told us: “David Tennant’s comment about being asked to be in Harry Potter was like getting the call to be in the England team was genius.”
