Cricket Star Fails To Show The Love For Harry Potter

Daniel Radcliffe has told how he queued up to get a cricket legend’s autograph – because the player had no idea who the Harry Potter star was.
The actor said he was desperate to meet Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar after a recent match.
But despite his global fame as the boy wizard, Radcliffe said he had to get in line with the other fans and wait his turn.
He said: “I went to a cricket match for my birthday and there was a very famous Indian cricketer there called Sachin Tendulkar and I actually queued up for his autograph and got it and no-one recognized me, which was brilliant.
“And he didn’t know he’d met me, which was even more hilarious.”
And he revealed he’d like to be a mind reader if he really did have magical powers. Radcliffe, 18, told US TV show Rachael Ray: “It would be reading people’s minds – that would be pretty cool.
“And also the human torch thing – being able to set yourself on fire and not do yourself incredible pain.”
He added: “But people are often disappointed when they meet me because then they find out I’m not tall like Harry, and I’m terribly dull.”
He will next be seen on screen in drama December Boys – the story of four orphans who bond on holiday trip.
Radcliffe has played author J K Rowling’s boy wizard on the big screen since 2001.
The seventh and final book in the series, The Deathly Hallows, was published in July.
The fifth film, Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix, opened in cinemas earlier this year.
34-year-old Tandulkar – dubbed ‘The Master Blaster’ – is rated by cricket bible Wisden as one of the best players ever.
