Posted by allo on 25/07/05

Coming Soon! has posted a new interview with the three other Triwizard Tournament champions in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory), Clemence Poesy (Fleur Delacour) and Stanislav Ianevski (Viktor Krum). The trio have some very complimentary things to say about Dan:

quote:

"CS!: How has it been working with Daniel Radcliffe?
Robert: Really good. I've kind of done everything and www.icce.org I've only worked with Dan in almost every single scene, so yeah, I get on with him very well.

Stan: He's a great boy. He's just amazing. There's not much that I can add to that.
Clémence: Me neither.
Robert: He's incredibly hard working, as well.
Clémence: Yeah, he's a true professional.
Stan: He's always friendly and willing to help you.
Robert: He has to click here go to tutoring at the same time and the immediate switch between going from tutoring to actor all day every day, nearly 365 days a day. I think it's absolutely incredible, and I would never ever be able to do that.

CS!: Have Daniel, Rupert or Emma talked to you about the mad fans you'll be dealing with when the movie comes out or are they trying to keep that from you?
Robert: We kind of briefly met, and I was talking to Dan's dad about his Christmas card to buy low price levitra the fans. I think they're printing out 20,000 Christmas cards, just in the first batch, just for his personal fan club. Just the scale of it is incredible. I got fan letters about a week after it was announced that I was cast from people who probably have no idea who I am really. I thought that was really strange.
"

(NOTE: The Christmas cards that Robert refers to were sent to fans who wrote to Dan over the Christmas 2004 period – Dan doesn't actually have a “fan club”!)

New ACED Look and a Bit on Spellbound!

Posted by jenna on 20/07/05

Since it is Dan's birthday week, and we have already sent him his copy of the printed version of ACED Magazine, I thought it time to change up our online look just a bit in honor of his birthday.

And of course, if you are interested in helping out with ACED drop me a line about that too. smile.gif

Speaking of HBP – I will have footage up from the Spellbound! event shortly. It was a great success, thousands of http://www.utahheritagefoundation.com/order-cialis-online-canada people attended. And yes – I may not have been able to go due to my pneumonia, but I was still on the phone and www.alia2.org online with my guys all day from morning to morning!! HBP: Did you notice? And – Dan's 16th – Don't Forget!

Posted by jenna on 18/07/05

Heidi from Fiction Alley pointed out a rather unique new character name in the 6th installment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, on page 224. This tidbit of information inspired me to once again remind you not to forget about the annual Demelza House Children's Hospice Fundraiser that both Dr.com and Dr.co.uk are doing together for Dan's 16th Birthday.

Dan truly appreciates donations sent to this charity from his fans, and it is his preference instead of being sent birthday gifts. A little about the San Diego Comic-Con

Posted by jenna on 16/07/05

IGN Filmforce has a brief article about the goings on at the San Diego Comic-Con, saying:

The trailer opened with establishing shots of buy viagra generic Hogwarts castle and the announcement of the Tri-Wizard Tournament was now underway. An older looking Harry with teenagery hair and more adult features was put through the paces. He comes face to face with a fierce looking dragon known as a Hungarian Horntail, dances with a (GASP!) girl, and even has a fight with Ron. The trailer also featured Mad Eye Moody, Hagrid, and an assortment of unfinished flying creatures that we couldn't place.

The overall effect of the trailer was of a much darker, more action-focused Harry Potter film. The effects also looked to be on a much grander, “stakes is high” intensity and we rarely saw Ron, Hermione, and Harry together, suggesting that they may start finding their own adventures.

Growth Spell – Daily Mirror

Posted by jenna on 11/07/05

The Daily Mirror has an article out about the trio. This article brings a new bit of info – saying Dan is a “keen golfer, enjoys pizza with his mates, watching football and listening to the Sex Pistols and the Stranglers.” NOTE: Dan is not the avid golfer – that would be Rupert. Seems like a little mix up in the article there.

Dan says, “Because I'm growing up alongside Harry I've got to know him very well, but I don't think I'm as like him as I was when I started.”

The Daily Mirror touches very briefly on his upcoming production, December Boys, and Dan says about acting, “I just love acting because it's the only thing I've really been good at. I have more confidence when I'm acting than when I'm doing anything at school, like writing and sports, which I've never been particularly good at.”

Sympathy Sentiments and Answers to Your Questions

Posted by jenna on 07/07/05

Most of you probably know about the bombings in London earlier this morning. I have received many inquiries about it, and e-mails expressing sympathy and concern. First let me put all of your minds at ease about one thing – after talking to his representative I can tell you, Dan and his family are safe.

I would like to extend my sincerest thoughts and wishes to those that have been affected by this horrible incident. This is very personal for me, one of my friends was on a train directly behind one that exploded. Our co-webmaster, Allo, is there in England now on vacation as well. I haven't been able to contact her to find out if all is well, so this is difficult for me to write about at this time.

I can only express my deepest anger and sadness that people in this world are even capable of such souless madness. Please be safe everyone.

More GOF footage at San Diego's Comic Con

Posted by jenna on 04/07/05

FYI: The San Diego Comic-Con lists GOF as one of the featured previews at this upcoming event, taking place July 14-17th. If you live in the area you might want to try and give it a visit.

On Friday, July 15th from 11:00-1:00, Warner Bros. will be giving a giant-size presentation to include four new films coming soon from the production company. This is the one you might be most interested in:

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire — In the fourth film adaptation of J. K. Rowling's popular Harry Potter novel series, Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) must contend with being mysteriously selected to compete in the prestigious Triwizard Tournament, a thrilling international competition that pits him against older and more experienced students from Hogwarts and two rival European wizarding schools. Get an exclusive look at this pivotal adventure in Harry Potter's life. (Held in Hall H)

Of course, we don't actually know for sure if “exclusive look” means footage we haven't seen, or just the same trailer we have already seen. It sounds like it might be something new, but the description is a little vague. If anyone does decide to attend please let ME know!

I'm sure that I speak for the entire staff at DanRadcliffe.com when I say that it has been a real honor and privilege to work for a site affiliated with such a remarkable, talented young star. Dan continues to amaze and impress me every day with his wisdom, maturity and enthusiasm for his work.

December Boys: Movie and Book Information

Posted by jenna on 01/07/05

Sydney Morning Herald ran a story about the December Boys production today confirming that the movie adaptation of the novel is quite different from the original literary work.

quote:

"As for the film, the screenwriter is Los Angeles-based Australian Marc Rosenberg. It will be directed by another Australian, Rod Hardy. Rosenberg said he had been given a script adapted from The December Boys eight years ago by Ronald Kinnock (producer of the 1960 classic horror film Village of the Damned).

“It's moved quite a way from the original book,” he said"

The article also talks about the book. Royalties for the reprint of this novel are in question as author Michael Noonan is deceased. You can read the entire article by clicking on the FULL STORY link below.

*** A side note from UQP ***

We spoke to a representative at the University of Queensland Press and were informed that they “have already reprinted a small run of the book to meet demand for the moment and a new edition is due out in November to coincide with the film.”

For those of you wishing to purchase the book and give it a read, keep in mind the movie will be quite different from the literary work on many levels.

Dan truly appreciates donations sent to this charity from his fans, and it is his preference in lieu of birthday gifts. Don't forget – he has no more room for presents as his fans are already so generous with him, but now he really wants you to share that generosity with those that really need it – the children at Demelza House Children's Hospice.

The fundraiser will run from Friday, 1 July through 23 July, 2005. You can donate directly to Demelza House via their online donation page, by phone, or by post. If you donate online, please send either myself or Page a copy of your WorldPay Receipt so that we can keep up with the donations.

NOTE: Demelza House's online donation page now has a SOURCE field. If you are making a donation online, please choose “Daniel Radcliffe” as your source and we will be able to track all donations that come in for Dan through our websites that way.

For more information about the fundraiser please read over our Demelza House Charity Page. If you have any questions, or you would like to sponsor this fundraiser on your website, please E-Mail Me and I will be happy to assist you!

Don't forget, on July 23rd we will be hosting the ACED Fan Project Prize Drawing for donaters in a live chat. There will be three prizes in all. Prizes will be announced next week.
