One Day In The Life - Video on YouTube

Videos - Miscellaneous

Many thanks to the ridiculously helpful and talented Tim Hailand for this link to his video on YouTube, where he talks about his work, and shows us an actual physical copy of One Day in the Life of Daniel Radcliffe.

If you are avoiding spoilers until you have your copy, he does leaf through the first four pages, but those are pictures that have been released to magazines, and such, during the book's publicity campaign, so you won't be too badly spoiled.

Don't forget that the book is only available from Tim's website, will be shipped to the US, Asia, Central and South America this week, and to the UK and Europe on December 28th.

A portion of all book sales will be donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Dennys Ilic Speaks About Working With Daniel Radcliffe

In the Media - Online Articles

During an interview for Galactica.TV that took place last month, photographer Dennys Ilic spoke in glowing terms about what he does best and working with Daniel Radcliffe:

In the end I have to say that probably the greatest experience for me overall -- because I've been involved with it for a good four or five years now -- has been photographing Daniel Radcliffe for the Harry Potter films. Partly because I shot him for the first time when he was fifteen years old and I now just finished shooting him when he's 20, Just seeing him change and grow from a young child to this amazing young man. He's so grounded and so intelligent and so focused on his work. Obviously he makes a good deal of money for someone his age, but he hasn't suffered any of trappings that come with that. He's a normal young man who probably works a hundred times harder than any of us can conceive or would do ourselves. He's just all about his craft. It's just amazing seeing a Harry Potter film being made and seeing how much he does -- how hard he worked on Equus, reading scripts for other projects while at the same time he was preparing for my photoshoot.

When I shot him two years ago, he'd just come off filming -- literally the day before -- Harry Potter V. He jumped on a plane and came to Australia and was reading for Equus. After that he went straight into making another Harry Potter film. I just have this incredible respect and admiration for him and his focus. That's probably the most pleasurable experience I had in the film industry, because just dealing with him and his family has been nothing but a positive experience. It just shows how wonderful and normal people work at that level of the film industry -- the biggest film franchise in the world.

The article is very interesting and includes a lovely photo of Dan and Dennys. Many thanks to SnitchSeeker for the link!

Dan on Regis and Kelly on Monday... Rerun or New Interview?

News - News

According to their official website, Daniel will be a guest on Live with Regis and Kelly in the US on Monday December 28th. We were not able to verify whether this is a rerun from last July, or a brand new interview, so the only way to find out at this point is to watch! Be sure to check your local listings for the broadcast time.

Many thanks to Joan, Samara and Carol for the heads-up... and let's keep our fingers crossed for a little something new since Dan was in New York very recently!

*UPDATED* BroadwayWorld .com : Scoop on New Reading of How To Succeed in Business

In the Media - Online Articles

We have been elbow deep in One Day in the Life all day, and looking back, but now it's time to look forward... the lovely Emma has had her eyes peeled and linked us to a report on BroadwayWorld.com from someone who was lucky enough to attend Monday's read through of  How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying...

First things first. Daniel Radcliffe was AMAZING. He interpreted the role in a charming, adorable and fresh way. He sang great. I think everyone was there to see if he could do it. And boy, he really did it. He was great. He came off as a full-fledged musical star. Those of us who saw him in Equus know he has the stage chops as a dramatic actor but now I can say that he could easily take Broadway by storm as a musical comedy star, too. After that final Harry Potter movie comes out, this guy can do whatever he wants in any medium. I loved him. And it seems to me that he is the youngest actor to play the role of Finch. And his youth made the show feel fresh and new. It had a new kind of innocence to contrast the cynicism of the world he is in.

Well, this sounds like it'll be expensive...

*UPDATE* Many thanks to Samara for sending in a link to another article about the reading. Enjoy!

A Thank You Message From Tim Hailand

Exclusives - Exclusives

I'm sure you were all just as fascinated as I was by Tim Hailand talking about his Photos Re-photographed Series in this morning's video - although you didn't all have a tiny toy rabbit (called 'Richard', but after Richard de Clare, Earl of Gloucester, not Richard III) that you'd take with you on holiday and position somewhere in the shot when you were taking photographs - like in the fork of a tree in front of York city walls...

...so you wouldn't have found yourself losing your marbles and sharing this information with a professional photographer...

But what a coincidence - look at the re-photographed photograph he has used to make a special Thank You card for all of us who have supported the book project...

Thank You Card
