Round up of recent Dan appearances
Apologies for the tardiness of this post, but the three of us have all been busy with work, so the site has fallen by the wayside this past week! Here's a quick video round-up. Live! With Kelly | Craig Ferguson | Jay Leno | Ellen clip 1 and clip 2 | The Talk | The Wendy Williams Show clip ETA: Youtube versions of Wendy Williams, The Talk, and Ellen Unfortunately, some of these are region restricted, and I don't have the time to upload anything for you (other than The Talk, which you can download here), so I suggest those of you struggling to watch the videos make use of Firefox's modify headers add-on, and familiarise yourself with US proxy servers (Google is your friend). Full versions of Live! With Kelly, Ellen, and Wendy Williams have yet to emerge, but we'll update as and when they do. There's no chance of me ever being able to link to the hundred or so interviews and radio shows Dan has done in the past fortnight (and that's not an exaggeration!), so here's a few personal favourites: Dan sings Blue Moon | Short List Magazine photoshoot | Dan talking about his girlfriend and missing his H2S castmates For UK fans, a reminder that Dan did a very open and honest interview (accompanied by an absolutely stunning photoshoot) with Esquire - well worth picking up a copy. Dan will also appear in the March issue of Attitude, on sale this coming Wednesday, and in the next issue of The Radio Times, on sale Tuesday. On Thursday, Time Out (London) is released, guest edited by none-other than our very own Mr Radcliffe, who also took the time to answer a few twitter questions (video here), and Dan will also appear at the Apple Store, Regent Street, London, to promote The Woman in Black. He is also scheduled to co-host The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, 6:30am - 9:30am Friday morning, and is due to appear on the 17th February episode of The Graham Norton Show. UK fans should also look out for this week's issues of Glamour and heat magazines, as both feature interviews with Dan (the latter sparked off a whole series of articles debating manscaping). And I think that's about it! Calling all Fanfic Authors: Movieline Woman in Black Sweepstakes

Sorry, but only US residents can participate... Boo!
Dan begins US leg of Woman in Black promotion
Dan is certainly earning his much-talked about three weeks off next month - he's worked his stripy socks off for the past week as he promotes his upcoming film The Woman in Black, and this morning marks the start of the United States promotional tour, with appearances on The Elvis Duran and the Morning Show and Good Morning America (audio and video can be found at each of the links given). The Woman in Black Premiere
Last night saw the worldwide premiere of The Woman in Black at London's Royal Festival Hall, and Dan took to the red carpet where he spoke to the press and spent over an hour signing for fans who had waited in the drizzly, dreary conditions we've all come to expect from premieres involving a certain Mr. Radcliffe. Whilst the scale was far removed from previous premieres I've attended, the enthusiasm was certainly the same (just not quite as deafening), and Dan's progress along the fan barriers could be tracked by the waving of posters, the burst of camera flashes, and the slightly-hysterical screams. The weather didn't put a dampener on the event though, as Dan was his usual bright, engaging self. Looking very dapper and handsome in his double-breasted suit, he braved a barrage of cameras and press with typical aplomb. Unfortunately, DRC didn't get the opportunity to talk to Dan, as he was whisked past our section in a minute or so, and only had the time to speak to a couple of people, but we did get some photographs, which can be seen below (click on the thumbnails to open a high-res image). A number of videos of Dan at the event have shown up online; see the links below. Leicester Square TV | DIY | Yahoo! | TNT Magazine | Telegraph | BBC News | Empire Magazine | Entertainmentwise Lauren will be posting her review of The Woman in Black soon (long story short; she loved it). |

Photos - Video (nope, nothing wrong with my camera other than a barrage of continuous rapid action flash going off all around me!) And stay tuned for my write-up, still to come. All in all, it was a wonderful experience... except for the fact that the movie literally terrified me! WIB Toronto Premiere Teaser
I just got back to my hotel room after covering the Toronto premiere of The Woman in Black on behalf of DR.com, a very different experience from any of the premieres I have attended in the past. I also just found out that my 815AM flight tomorrow morning has been cancelled and I will now be flying home at 715AM... Which is OK I guess, considering I won't be able to SLEEP after seeing the movie anyway! Stay tuned for more on this in the next couple of days. DRC at The Woman in Black Premiere
Lauren and I were at this evening's premiere of Dan's new film The Woman in Black, and we're both shattered after a long, cold, drizzly day, so the full post will have to wait until tomorrow. In the meantime, have my favourite picture from the event, and check in over the next couple of days for more pictures and Lauren's review of the film. |
